On March 15, 2012, Counterpart International won the award for Best Video and/or Podcast Program at the PR News Nonprofit PR Awards for this multimedia package on Sustainable Livelioods in Guatemala!Alta Verapaz made the international news mostly because of the two-month state of siege implemented there in December 2010.
